Description: There are only a few types of woods that are safe to be used in aquascapes, and other pet habitats, and spiderwood is one of those woods. Multiple pieces of spiderwood can be used together to create interesting and dynamic environments, especially when combined with plants. When submerged underwater, Spiderwood releases fewer tannins than other aquarium driftwoods (like Mopani), making it ideal for tanks where water clarity is desired.
These pieces are hand selected and have multiple branches extending in different directions (like spider legs!) for a dynamic and natural look. Most aquarium-safe woods will float initially till they become water logged, so it is best to consider this aspect while planning to include driftwood in the aquarium. Various methods such as pre-soaking, and gluing rocks to it, or wedging in between rocks are used to secure the piece in its desired location.
